Publications

3D Character Generation from Images using Convolutional Neural Networks and 3D-Character Factory.

International Journal of Scientific Research in Computer Science, Engineering and Information Technology
Volume 5, Issue 5, September-October 2019

Face recognition using convolutional neural networks can be utilised for constructing 3D characters from a photograph or from a live person. By using convolutional neural networks human attributes like the color of the eyes, skin tone, hair color, presence or absence of facial hair, body type and so on can be identified and provided as a response to a 3D-Character in a game engine like Unity3D using factory pattern approach to make the 3D Character look like the subject.

Digital Game-Based Learning (DGBL): Design and Development of an Educational Game Design of Digital Games as Pedagogical Tools

International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews
Special Issue, May 2019

Digital game-based learning (DGBL) assimilates educational content into video games with the goal of engaging learners. This paper examines the limitations of the educational system towards the accomplishment of learning goals and emphasizes the need of a tool that engages and educates the learner. It describes the game design model and aims to measure its efficacy and effectiveness in achieving its goals in terms of the enthusiasm and active participation the players feel during gameplay, as well as the post-gameplay satisfaction with newly acquired knowledge and skills. This model based on flow theory and game design, stresses the importance of providing the player with immediate feedback, clear objectives and challenges. This paper will introduce the concept of such a game and the various learning processes that take place during each phase. The flow theory framework is used in order to maximize the impact of player’s experience.
